“ASSISTANT FOR CHILDREN/STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS” BEGINS TRAINING!

After all the thorough preparations by MESTI and AVETAE, we are excited to begin the training of the 7th generation of students in the Level 5 of qualification: “Assistant for children/students with special educational needs”. This program plays a vital role in promoting inclusion and supporting children with special needs across Kosovo.

Several study groups have been established in various cities: 3 in Prishtina, and others in Gjakova, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Prizren, and Ferizaj. The program follows high standards, accredited by the prestigious PEARSON institution from the UK, and includes external verification of assessment to ensure quality and integrity.

A key strength of the program is its balance of 600 hours of theoretical learning and 600 hours of practical training. During practice, candidates will work directly with children/students in schools, primary and secondary schools, and resource centers — gaining real-world experience while making a difference in their lives.

With 480 graduates so far already contributing to the education system, we expect to reach 750 qualified assistants with this new generation. The demand for professional assistants remains high, and MESTI & AVETAE are committed to further investment in training and employment, ensuring every child receives the support they deserve.
