ABOUT AVETAE
The Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE) in Kosovo is a relatively new public institution and is continuously working on capacity building and delegating responsibilities to the Centers of Competence (six of them in Kosovo). Since the establishment of AVETAE, progressive steps have been taken and continue to be taken, assisting and training the leaders and teachers of the CoCs in accordance with the legal framework and gradually decentralizing possible administrative-legal elements in CoCs.
Objectives of the AVETAE
The mission of the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education is to provide a strong impetus and support for the development of VET in the Republic of Kosovo, in accordance with European standards.
In fulfilling its goal, the Agency aims to achieve the development of VET in relation to the needs of modern technology, green economy, labor market and the social development of the country;
AVETAE Membership in International Organization
AVETAE is member of EVBB (European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training), which is a European umbrella association whose members are state associations, associations, coordinating institutes of education and educational providers at a national, regional and local level. The objective work done by the EVBB is the qualitative improvement of vocational education and training in European countries and an increase in the efforts being carried out in education at a European level.
EVBB has ~850 member VET organisations/institutions from 84 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America.
• Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
• Western Balkans / Southeast Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo.
• Eastern Europe / Caucasus: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine.

• Project Collaboration: EVBB is active in many projects (e.g., Erasmus+, Centres of Vocational Excellence, etc.) which involve partner institutions in many different countries. This implies that EVBB not only holds membership but also engages in actionable cooperation.
