PROJECTS WITH AVETAE, LOCAL, REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

AVETAE – Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education

Since its establishment, AVETAE has played a vital role in reforming vocational education in Kosovo by managing and transforming vocational secondary schools into autonomous Centers of Competence (CoCs). These centers have become key platforms for dual education, international cooperation, and skills development aligned with labor market needs. Below is a summary of major projects coordinated by AVETAE in collaboration with local, regional and EU partners.

1. MoVET – Mobility for VET (EAC-2020-0863)

Funded by the European Commission, MoVET promoted short-term (2-week study visits) student mobilities between the Western Balkans (Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro) and EU countries (Italy, Belgium, Greece and Spain).

  • 10 staff-teachers from AVETAE&CoCs and over 40 students from CoCs “Shtjefën Gjeçovi” in Prishtina, “11 Marsi” in Prizren, CoC-Prizren and CoC “Kujtim Krasniqi” in Malisheva participated in professional learning experiences in ICT, Tourism, Hospitality, and Logistics.
  • Mobility destinations included Trieste/Italy, Aalst/Belgiu, and two groups of students in Athens/Greece, in 2023 and 2024, where students visited training centers, campuses, and companies, engaging in interactive learning and cultural exchange.
