The establishment of a Task Force for the evaluation of VET is planned!

Fikrije Zymberi, Director of AAAPARr, met with project representatives from Swisscontact. In this meeting, it was discussed to appoint a task force composed of MASHTI-AAAPARr-Collegium from the Association of Municipalities, to carry out an assessment of vocational education. The concept is intended to be piloted in the Competence Centers and some schools under the management of municipalities for the development of development units within schools according to a Swiss model, which project is being implemented in Albania.

These development units will consist of: ”Coordinators for marketing, quality, business development, project development, career development and orientation, etc.”.
This concept is also enshrined in the Law on Vocational Education, which is under review. Piloting these development units in 4-5 schools helps the legal basis of the law on vocational education, which also provides for the structure of schools.

Kushtrim Bajrami, representative of the Swisscontact Project, requested support from the AAPARr Agency to start this pilot in 4-5 schools and two Competence Centers.

Director Zymberi stated that her support and that of the Agency will never be lacking, expressing the importance of networking vocational schools, as well as the 5th level training offered by the Agency.

At the end of the meeting, it was proposed to hold a workshop and invite representatives of the Competence Centers, representatives from other relevant stakeholders to discuss the criteria for selecting schools as well as the form of cooperation.
